Ruldolph the Red Eared Boxer

Owch. My mom says my ears are red and that I need to go to the vet. I can't see my ears but they are itchy and feels like something is in there but when I shake really hard it does not come out. Mom and dad call me hellicopter dog when I shake my ears. Here is the vet looking at my ear. I don't like it!

He cleaned lots of black goo out of my ears and took a sample away on a fuzzy tipped stick. When he came back he put medicine in my ears. I don't like stuff in my ears.

The vet tested the black goo and told us I have a yeast infection. What is yeast? Is that like bread? I didn't put bread in my ear! I had it in my ear last December too. The vet gave me cookie he said my mouth is so soft. Yep mommy says that too, she says my mouth is like a camel mouth. Have you ever touched a camel mouth? It's soft and when you feed them you only feel their fuzzy lips and not their teeth.

This is me paying for my vet visit. Yep, I bring home the bacon and pay my own bills. I'm a superduper dog. $120 dollars! Wow! I only have bones! Okay dad you get this one.

Shopping

Today we went shopping. But Best Buy isn't a doggy store so I waited outside with mommy. It was kinda cold but I liked it better than waiting in the Jeep. I sit nice so people see how handsome and nice I am and then they pet me. Look at me aren't I so handsome?

Look at all the snow! I got to go to the park lots and run in all the snow and make yellow snow. Yellow snow yellow snow yellow snowwww! It was tricky going poopy because the snow was so deep and hard to find a place where now didn't touch my butt.

A day at the office

Today my dad took me to where he works. It was really fun to meet all kinds of people. One time my dad left me alone to watch his desk but I found something better to do and went and met some more people. It was fun!

This is the people my dad works with. They are all really nice and took good care of me when my dad had to put out fires. I didn't know he was a fire man! This was the last day of production and that is why we had a group photo taken. The show is called Sanctuary and comes out this fall, don't miss it!

Hello, it's been a while since I have been on Blogger! I have been busy taking care of my mommy! She hasn't been feeling well for a while. But now she is getting better and we're doing more things together and she's starting to take pictures again! The doctor figured out that my mommy has Hashimoto's Disease, it means that her body thinks her thyroid is the enemy and it attacks it! Eww! So it makes her feel really tired all the time.

The daily grind

It's all in a days work...throw on the back pack with a couple of cans of tuna, two bags of popcorn kernels and mail. Yep, bringing home the bacon!

I always stop to take in the sights and smells of the river.

A long time ago big boats were tied to these big red things.

Time to deliver the mail and read the employment paper. Now that I have work experience maybe I can get a better paying job.

It must be getting cooler outside, these leaf things are falling from the trees. They are fun to play in.

I know I know, I'm so handsome. I can't help it what can I say.

I am used to not being allowed in human stores, but this!? This calls for a protest! They even specified not only dogs but my breed too "No dogs or HORSES"!

New Jeep

Mom and dad got me a new Jeep today. I don't know what the big deal is, it looks the same to me, with a few minor differences. Okay, I have to admit I like the sun roof, and I like that the seats are roomier and on less of an angle so I can stand easier.

The colour is different and well it DOES match my Soggy Dog better. .

They had me inspect it and I approved it, as long as they keep driving me to parks and beaches anything will do

The Beach is Back!

I'm so happy we can go to the beach again! This is my favourite place in the whole wide world. And it's even more fun when I get to take my frisbee. Everyone loves my frisby which is why I run around as many people as I can so they can get a closer look, and I also shake my head with it in my mouth to entice them to try to get it from me. Everyone goes to the beach JUST TO SEE ME! I'm so famous! I'm petitioning to get the beach named after me "Teddy's Frisbee Beach"

My First Camping Trip

Dad took me on my first camping trip to some place named Nahatlatch. He took my on his annual all-guys May long weekend trip. Mom didn't want me to go because she thought it might be too cold for me and that dad would not watch me carefully enough. She had no choice though because she was in Ontario visiting Gramma and Grampa.

I had to warm up my vocals, naturally, before the shoot. The dog wrangler was very good with directions, of course it helps that I'm a genious. I played the important role of a pound dog up for adoption, I took it very seriously and did my best to look the part. I don't know why they put newspapers down. ugg. Like, as if I need newspapers! Next I will star as the new Lassie, I'm so hot in Doggywood. Hot!
Teddy's mom here...I must appologize for Teddy's big ego now that he thinks he's got Doggywood status.

Boxer Party!

I had so much fun today! I went to a HUGE 18 acre park and there was lots of boxers there! Mom says there were maybe 20 boxers there. It was kinda weird though we all looked the same, ran the same, jumped up the same and some even tried to tell me that they were bigger and better than me. NOT. I am DA BOXER! I don't take poop from no one, hey I'm a pretty easy going and friendly guy but if you are rude to me I'll be sure to tell ya. I prefer to just run around and wrestle a bit, that's all. But some like to be all macho, and some just take it. Not me. DA BOXER! It was really muddy and wet.
Mom and dad sometimes couldn't find me, hehe. My dad was calling my name "comere' Teddy" with his arms open..HAHA..it wasn't me! Mom says it was hard to get any decent pictures with all of us running around but will pick some nice ones and post soon.
Oh, and by the way! I'm a MOVIE star! I will post more later. woof.

Teddy's Woofmas Vacation

I have so many photos to share that I made a slideshow. I hope you all can see it ok. Just to recap, we went to visit my grandpa and Auntie Kiki in Tappen, BC for Woofmas and then on Woofmas afternoon we drove to Kelowna visit uncle Sandy, Auntie Kristi and grandma. I saw lots of new things and lots of snow and I stayed in a hotel for the first time ever. I had fun in the hotel cuz there was lots of room to run around and play with my new ball! Mom fell asleep on 'my' couch watching tv so I had the whole bed with dad! I had lots of turkey and shhh don't tell mom, I had lots of shortbread cookies at grampas! He had them sitting out on the tables for me, i couldn't help it.

Wow I can't believe a whole month has gone by without me blogging!
I've been so busy you know, with all the holiday parties and shopping. It's a ruff life. I hope y'all had a good Woofmas and gots lots of yummy treats and fun toys!
I had a BIG Woofmas!! We all went to grampa's which is 6 hours away, and then we went to grammy's and uncle Sandy's which was another 2 hours away. I got to stay in a hotel for the first time EVER! I had so many adventures, i'm sooo tired.
So as soon as i recooperate and mommy sorts through my photos I'll post lots of pics and details of my exciting Woofmas.

This human was covered in snow and had a carrot for a nose. I've never met such a human before. Mom calls it a Snow Man. Mom had to wipe some of the snow off his face to see his eyes cuz it snowed lots last night.

It's snowing!! It rarely snows here so we went out to play in it before it goes away. I got to go to the park and run around and chase the ball and slide around. I don't have any pictures of the park though cuz mommy didn't think to bring the camera. I was the only dog in the park but there were kids sledding in the people park and i liked watching them. Mommy still wanted to get a picture of me in the snow so she took me outside after we got back just to get a stupid picture! I like snow if I can run around and play but not just to go stand around and take stupid pictures! Oh well, i did get a little creative with setting up some shots for mommy....

Wow, I'm so excited!! I have a job!! I was a bit nervous on my first day -- I didn't realize it meant I had to wear a bag on my back!

After a few deliveries I got the hang of it. It was very important that I delivered the popcorn kernel delivery on time.

On my deliveries my mom..er..my assistant follows (and documents) as I lead the way.

Waiting for the customer to buzz us into the building.

Steve from Shipping and Receiving prepares me to deliver some goods from the warehouse to the office, mmmm...that cheese smelled good but I can't eat the packages.

So my first week went great! Pay day was the bestest, I got 4 bully sticks and a bag of chewy tasty treats. I already ate half my pay!

Cozy Fireplace

Daddy got our fireplace working! We haven't used it like since my first winter back in 2005. I love it because it's so warm and cozy, it's so cozy that even Caelum is willing to sit near me. One day I hope Squeaky will join us too. Oh and last weekend mommy got me a backpack..well it's not really that exciting for me but she really likes it. I'll post a picture this weekend.

And then we went to the park, the regular park and they let me run around without my leash! I pretended I was playing football. I was so fast no one could catch me!

Bored

I was so happy when mommy said she wasn't going to work on Thursday, but then I found out that being sick meant we did NOTHING. NATA. ZILCH! Mommy did some work from home and the rest of the time she slept or watched TV. Same thing on Friday, did absolutely nothing. I liked cleaning up the kleenex's though, although mommy didn't appreciate it. She told me not to eat kleenex's cuz they will just come out the other end and that is why sometimes I get a poopy stuck to my butt. Ewww. Oh well I still like them. FINALLY dad drove us to the park on Saturday afternoon. Mommy could not drive because she is all drugged up and feels like a space cadet. Hopefully today daddy can drive us there again! It looks like it's raining outside though. What a crappy long weekend.

Mundy Park Walk

Mommy took me to Hume park for a run then we went to Petcetera, then we went to Mundy Park in Coquitlam for a walk. Of course I always have to taste test the tall grass wherever we go and this stuff was very good. Everything is so wonderful smelling I just can't help but smell everything and when I smell something extra special I want to fly, but then that stupid leash stops me and mommy glares at me and says "stay close". Geesh mom, why can't you just let me run around and go wherever I want? I won't do anything bad I promise!

Hard day at work

This is me sitting at my daddy's desk. I was really bored! I thought going to work meant I get to say hi to people all day and play all day. But noooo I had to sit quietly beside dad so he could work. One time I managed to sneak away and go into the wardrobe room, but then I got caught! Doh!! My dad is working for a TV show called Psych, it is a new show and is doing really well. My daddy took me outside several times and even took me to a doggy park, I had fun running around!

This is Ruby, she works in the same building as my dad. Isn't she beautiful? I love her natural ears and full tail. Mommy says she looks as bratty as me, just look at that cheeky look on her face. She was looking at me.

When I got home mommy was already home from work, I said hi to mommy then went straight for the couch and fell asleep. It was a long day!

Walkie

Dad says he doesn't like the way I write so I'm gonna have to write like mommy writes. Today mommy took me on a nice walk around the neighbourhood. We've been walking alot lately because mom wants to make sure we walk atleast a 1/2 hour a day -- she wants to lose weight and she also thinks it's good for me too. And then on the weekends we do a walk AND she takes me to the park! I love the weekends. Here's some photos of me on my walk today, I love to chew grass.

Got Robbed

Mommy said we got robbed. I didin member being robbed? Is dat when someone climbs over da fence and thru da window? I thinked dat he wanted to play tug and say hello. Mommy says they stole our playstation2, gameboy advance and all the games plus our video camera. And den today mommy was going to take me to da park an realized dat her set of car keys and garage remote to da building were gone too.

I didin know dat I am supposed to bark at people too I just thinked dat I am supposed to bark at dawgs dat walk by here.

I wish I culd tell mommy and daddy what the robber looked like. I kinda dot after the robber left that maybe somting wadden rite.

Da next day I was a bit jumpy wen we went fer a walk. Poor mommy and daddy dey are so stressed.

My ear sucks

Talk about in your face! Mom said she read that one of the benefits for ear cropping is less chance of ear splitting and other floppy related problems. Yep, so umm yah I have a problem with one of my ears now. I'm still glad they are floppy though. Mommy has been putting stuff on it to help it get better. At first she put my ear in warm water and epsom salts which didn't feel all that great. Now that the pussy stuff is gone she just cleans it with hydrogen peroxide and then puts on polysporin.
Today we went to the park and I had lots of fun running around but i got so hot, even at 10am. Maybe I'm getting too old and out of shape. hehe. Hey did you know I'll be two soon?!! My birday is September 22nd, the day after mommy's birday. Maybe she'll get us a cake, mmmm..how about a BONE shaped icecream cake!! YUMM!!! I LUV ICE CREAM!!!
Oh and mommy has been teaching me how to speak! No pictures or video though cuz dad left the camera at work. duh.

Trains, boats and logs oh my!

Today we went for a walk near the Fraser River, it's only a couple of minutes walk from our house so I hope mommy takes me here more often! There is so much to look at! On the way there are trains lots of trains and then I like to watch all the birdies flying from log to log in the river. There are lots of nice ponds on the way too but I am not allowed in there because the sign says so. There are so many nice flower gardens and so many smells that I get super happy and wanna do the boxer 500 but it's kinda hard with my leash still on so I do circles around mommy and make her dizzy!!

I got a new toy today! In fact I have got lots of new toys this week! Mommy gots me some cuz she felt bad that I had to stay home lots cuz of allergies and grampa visited this week and he gots me some toys too!! He didn't even have to tell me he gots me toys I found them all by myself in the shopping bag on the floor and ran over to show everyone my new toy and they all laughed at me! hehe! Mommy thinks this one is the funniest I don't know why.

Mommy hasn't been taking me out as much lately, especially not swimming. I had lots of red bumps all over me that were kinda like skito bites but we don't have skitos around here. Mommy gave me a bath lots, I kinda like baths now! I jump in all by myself! Mountain Hike

Mommy thought it would be a great idea to go on a hike in the mountains! Yah right!! It was hot as hell and skitos were everywhere but mostly they eated daddy hehe! We got lost on the way back but found out way back to the trail thank god cuz I did not want to see one of those big bears mommy talked about.

This is me at Hayward Lake near Mission BC — near where I was born. The water was really shallow then it it just drops off like a cliff into really deep water, my dad found out the hard way...he was walking along and then all of the sudden he disappeared. It was kinda funny.

We went to a new spot today, it’s a doggy beach in West Vancouver. You can see Lion’s Gate Bridge and Stanley Park behind me. The water is nice because it makes me float better. I was having so much fun swimming I didn’t want to leave. After swimming we went for a walk and saw lots of doggies and met a nice woman who said I am handsome.

I found my best friend today! He took my green frog toy and I didn’t mind at all because I love to play chase, I'd rather be chased and not the chaser. So I played a game of strategy-tug with him and of course I always won! And then he chased me around the park and I ran around every tree, pole and bush. He is so much fun! I hope to see him again!
